She is best known for her performance as the character Juliette Silverton/Eve from the NBC television series Grimm. Tulloch was raised throughout Spain, Uruguay and Argentina. Her birthplace and raised within San Diego California. Tulloch uses the name Bitsie instead of Elizabeth is in honor of the World War II fighter pilot who was known as "Bitsie" as well as a participant in the Goldsboro B-50, a crash which occurred in the year 1961. At the time Tulloch started acting, she was known with the name Bitsie and remained so until the year 2017 when she decided to change her name Elizabeth rather than explaining that I am still known as Bitsie. When I introduce strangers, Bitsie is still the title I prefer to use. This was a good idea in the beginning as I began acting when I was in my early 20s. And now Im in the mid-30s, and it seemed as though for reasons of billing I wanted to go back to Elizabeth. In the time I made a film, the thought never even thought of it. The subject was Elizabeth that the producer noticed when filling out legal papers. Are you sure that's how you want billing? Then I thought about it, and then I phoned my agent and manager. They said Yeah you know thats not a bad concept. Your age has changed. Bitsie, on contrary, is a cute and adorable name. It's adorable. So thats really all it was about. Elizabeth is not mine any more. Just for future billing. Tulloch is of Scottish and Spanish heritage. Her first language is stated as Spanish. Tulloch is not however able to consider herself to be proficient in Spanish. Her family's origins were from Kirkwall as was her mother's came from Renfrewshire. In an interview on BBC News she reported that it is believed that the first Tulloch came to the US around 1880 and the Kerrs were introduced in the late 1900s. The school she attended was middle as well as high school in Bedford, New York after returning in the U.S. Tulloch was awarded a magnacum laude degree from Harvard University in English and American Literature and a Double Major in the Visual and Environmental Studies.
