Allison Pregler Bio

Allison Pregler is an avid reviewer of Z-graded movies, mostly in the martial arts or horror genres. Her style and approach is similar to The Cinema Snob. However she prefers to review crappy action flicks that have a twisted fascination. Her reviews started in late 2009; when she began to gain some recognition (under the name of Obscurus Lupa, which was previously used) Allison Pregler subsequently became part of the family at Channel Awesome. The channel was online from 2009 until the year 2015 which is when Obscurus Lupa Presents was changed to Movie Nights. She currently hosts two podcasts. One focused on the Charmed series and the second one hosted by Phelous. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. Guest-starring on Midnight Screenings is a regular occasion. The program reviews grotesque film that is aimed at kids, RiffTrax and live shows. It also occasionally features adult-oriented comedy. Her first review was in the middle of 2009. She gained a lot of popularity through the Channel Awesome forum before becoming part of the family. Her appearances have included a variety in Channel Awesome, from Atop the Fourth Wall through Phelous & the Movies. She has appeared in numerous seasons of Nostalgia Critic and was a former member of Channel Awesome's family along together with Doug Walker.
